Why do I need a vehicle appraisal?
A vehicle appraisal documents the full extent of damage after an accident and secures your claims against the other party's insurer. Without an independent appraisal, there is a real risk that repair costs, depreciation, loss-of-use compensation or replacement value will be set too low.
An independent appraiser is sensible — and legally recognised — from a damage value of approximately €750.
Who pays for my appraisal?
After a no-fault accident, the other party's liability insurer covers the cost of the appraisal — you pay nothing. We bill the insurer directly.
For valuation, classic-car or engine-damage reports, you receive a transparent fixed-price quote in advance.
What is the process after damage?
1. Book an appointment online, via WhatsApp or by phone. 2. Inspection on-site at your location or at our workshop. 3. The appraisal is delivered within a few days. 4. Together with our partner law firm, we recover compensation from the responsible insurer.
What do I need to take care of?
You don't need to take care of anything. We handle the entire process: damage report, evidence preservation, appraisal, correspondence with the insurer and our partner law firm. You simply submit the accident report and we secure your claims.
What rights do I have?
As the injured party in a no-fault accident, you are entitled to:
- an independent appraiser of your choice
- free choice of repair shop
- a rental car or loss-of-use compensation
- reimbursement for depreciation
- pain and suffering compensation in case of personal injury
- a lawyer — all paid by the other party's insurer
Do I need an appraiser for minor damage too?
For trivial damage below roughly €750, a cost estimate is usually sufficient. However, as soon as larger damage is suspected — even visually small dents can hide significant structural damage — we strongly recommend an independent appraiser.
